Doctrinal Statement:

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Long-Term Missionary Accountability Practices:

OC, being a 60 year-old, global agency, has created an accountability and care structure to meet IRS guidelines and provide good stewardship of our people and resources. We operate via a team structure (in general we only send new people where we have resident, experienced teams of people) that is managed/facilitated by a leadership structure that includes local leaders, area leaders and corporate leaders. Our care structure includes pastoral and emotional care and is based on a world-wide network of care providers, some within OC and some in partnership with OC. Nearly all of our missionaries are supported financially through the donations of ministry partners in the US, churches and individuals. Nearly all of our missionaries host ST teams from those stateside ministry partners and enjoy the connection and support it gives.
