Purpose & Mission Statement:
Hope 2 Liberia's exist to provide safe and living water for the nation of Liberia, resulting in better health, available education and stronger church leaders; all culminating in a renewed sense of hope and advancement of the Kingdom of God.
Doctrinal Statement:
God is not only the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, but He is the Heavenly Father who loves each of us. (John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 4:11) Jesus Christ is the one and only Lord and Savior. He was virgin-born, sinless, and died for us on the cross, in our place, to reconcile us to God. He arose from the tomb, gave us the hope of eternal life, and is coming again. (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4, 5:1-11) The Holy Spirit is God and He works in Christians to produce the fruit of Godly character. (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-15; Ephesians 1:13; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22-23) Salvation is a free gift, bestowed by God’s grace and received by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). Christians are all sinners saved by the grace of a loving God. There is no way we can earn salvation, it is free! Like any gift, it has to be received. We receive forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ; repentance (turning from sin); confession of faith in Christ; and baptism into Christ. Immersion in water of a professed believer is Bible baptism (Acts 8:36-39) and such baptism is symbolic of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:1-4). A believer’s salvation is secured by Christ alone (John 10:27-28). The church is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-33) and the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12). The local church is governed by Godly men (Titus 1:5). The purpose of the church on earth is to fulfill the last command of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).
