Organization Description & Goals:

In 1957 we opened our doors and hearts to kids in need of stability and love. What began as a single home and a staff of four, is now a beautiful estate with nine homes, a staff of 65, an ACSI accredited, private Christian school, rec center, grocery store, and horse stables. Over the years, our responsibilities have grown, but the mission remains the same: to provide home, school, and therapy for kids who are at-risk. We partner with families to give kids love, education, and healing in a beautiful setting. Each member of our team works to give children the best chance to live a mature life. We exhaust every option to give them the best opportunity possible.

Our mission at Cookson Hills is to provide home, school, and therapy for kids who are at-risk. Life at Cookson Hills is designed to help kids take responsibility for themselves both now and in the long-run. To successfully achieve our mission, we take into account every part of a kid’s world while they are with us. We develop a personalized Plan of Care for each child, which considers their physical, spiritual, educational, and emotional needs.
